A graduate of Skidmore College, Caroline earned her Master's degree in Interior Design from the University of Florida's College of Design, Construction, and Planning. Her research on the connection between retail design and criminal behavior was covered by NPR and the Miami Herald, and her subsequent publications have appeared in Security Journal, ASID's "Icon", and The Handbook of Security, among others. After ten years in the architecture world, Caroline formed Top Rail Interiors out of a desire to provide design, architectural drafting, project management, and decorating services all under one roof. Caroline resides on a horse farm in Saratoga with her husband and two children.
